Alabama Power to host Harris Project relicensing meeting

Justin Averette

Alabama Power is preparing to begin the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) process to obtain a new operating license for the R.L. Harris Project (FERC No. 2628).

This process involves a multi-year evaluation of the environmental, operational and economic resource issues at the Harris Project.

On Tuesday, April 24, Alabama Power Company will host a Harris Project relicensing meeting at Wedowee Marine South (9681 Highway 48, Lineville, AL 36266) from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. to discuss resource-specific Harris action teams and to review the FERC study plan process.

This meeting is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided. If you plan to attend, please email [email protected] or call Cecile Jones at 205-257-1701 on or before April 17.
