Shoreline Management connects with Upper Coosa Community

Upper Coosa Shoreline Management hosted its annual Public Education Open House on June 30 at the Pell City Civic Center.

Nearly 100 people attended for fun, food, fellowship and shoreline information.

In addition to Shoreline Management team members, employees from Environmental Affairs discussed a wide range of subjects, such as weed and mosquito control, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers updates and displaying Native American artifacts found along the Coosa River.

Additionally, Hydro Services was present to address any concerns about water levels on Logan Martin Lake.

Attendees were also able to interact with local vendors, including Realtors, dock builders, the St. Clair County Water Conservation Department and the Logan Martin Lake Protection Association.
