Lake Jordan drawdown ends Oct. 30

The extension of the Lake Jordan fall drawdown is set to end Oct. 30. Originally, the drawdown was to last from Sept. 18 to Oct. 18. Now, the refill will begin on Oct. 30 and the lake should be back to normal pool by Nov. 1.

Drawdowns give residents and contractors better lakebed access for permitted construction projects. Residents interested in performing shoreline maintenance during this drawdown should apply for the necessary lakeshore-use permits now by calling the Alabama Power Lower Coosa Shoreline Management Office in Clanton at 205-755-4420 before beginning any construction along the shoreline.
