Since beginning work on Lay Dam in 1912, Alabama Power has played an important role in water management across the state. With 14 hydro facilities on the Coosa, Tallapoosa and Black Warrior rivers, 3,500 miles of shoreline and nearly 120,000 acres of land, we strive daily to protect our natural resources and meet the needs of lake goers and property owners. Smart Lakes is a continuation of that mission.
Smart Lakes offers you the opportunity to experience the lake in a new light. We designed this app with cool interactive features and fun facts that allow you to be more connected to the lake and your lake home. We also incorporated tools, like reporting invasive plants, that allow you to help our shoreline managers maintain the beauty of our lakes.
From protecting our natural landscape to preserving your experience, we hope Smart Lakes helps you make the most of your time on the lake!
