Meet Dave Warren, the mastermind and talent behind Cullman Aerial Photography. What started as a hobby has quickly turned into a bookming business as Dave captures stunning sunsets, scenics and captures life at Smith Lake in his photographs that are truly works of art. We caught up with Dave and are excited to share a part of his story:
Tell us about yourself.
Dave Warren: My name is David Warren and I love showing off the beauty of things from above. I want people to look at my pictures and have no doubt that there is a God and all things were created for His glory. I am a Cullman transplant from Bessemer and I work in the construction equipment rental industry. I do real estate photography on Smith Lake as a side business.
How did you get started in photography?
DW: I didn’t get started into photography until July of 2014. That’s when I bought my first GoPro camera. With that purchase a passion was born. It was only a couple months later that I purchased my first drone and the rest is history. I’ve been able to capture some really cool events such as the winter storm of February 2015, I was the official aerial photographer of Rock the South in the summer of 2015, and I also covered the flood that occurred on Christmas Day. It’s been an incredible journey that God has taken me on.
What do you like about Smith Lake and photographing it?
DW: In my opinion Smith Lake is the most beautiful lake in Alabama. Between the beautiful sunsets and rock cliffs, it just doesn’t get any better. Not to mention that it is the second cleanest lake in the United States. Aerial photography has brought a whole perspective on what is already a beautiful area.
How can someone contact you about booking a photo shoot or buying your prints?
DW: My website is cullmanaerialphotography.com and my email is dave_warren80@yahoo.com
