Folks who enjoy Lake Martin are invited to show off cherished views of the lake – such as Wind Creek State Park and other well-known vistas – on their personal computers and phones.
In celebration of National Plan for Vacation Day on Jan. 25, the Lake Martin Tourism Association launched its new virtual backgrounds as a great way to showcase the lake and have fun at your next virtual meeting. Enliven your day with views of favorite vacation spots on Lake Martin, whose parks, marinas and islands are considered some of the finest in the Southeast.
Brandy Hastings, executive director of the Lake Martin Tourism Association, said the efforts help celebrate National Plan for Vacation Day. According to the U.S. Travel Association, Americans last year took only 30% of their vacation days.
“We leave so many vacation days on the table, and we want to encourage visitors to plan their day off,” she said. “This is the perfect time to make an initiative for the year. We hope people choose Lake Martin. We want to bring attention to the beauty and hospitality offered on our lake.”
Add interest to your computer screen by selecting from beautiful shots of Elkahatchee Creek, a blue heron taking in the sights and more. The goal of the Lake Martin Tourism Association is to have more people experience adventure on and off the water.
“It’s all part of great travel ideas to get your travel planning started,” Hastings added.
