Alabama Power’s Power Pedalers cycling team and the Alabama Power Service Organization will host their Dam Ride event later this month to support MS research.
This year’s event on April 29 will be a one-day ride leaving from Alabama Power headquarters in Birmingham and stopping in Leeds for lunch before finishing with dinner at Lay Dam. A shuttle will be provided back to Birmingham that night. The ride is one of several Alabama cycling events held to benefit the MS Society.
“We’re excited every year to be able to bring a healthy lifestyle initiative together with a great cause,” said Herbie Johnson, Southern Company hydro general manager, adding that the company is thrilled to be able to have so many cyclists and volunteers willing to participate to help MS.
